Healthy Workplace/Healthy Families Act of 2014

Healthy Workplace/Healthy Families Act of 2014

Beginning July 1, 2015 a new law requires paid sick leave for employees who work 30 or more days. Sick leave accrues at the rate of one hour per every 30 hours worked and must be carried over if not used. This is important information for every California business owner. The Division of Labor Standards requires posting of information about the new law where employees can see it. This blog post does not constitute legal advice. If you have questions regarding employment law, we encourage you to contact a labor attorney in your state.
